About The Position

Laborers are required to perform an Area Inspection of the area of the plant they are covering and turn in the signed and completed area inspection upon completion of their shift. Requirements

• Must be able to walk, climb stairs and ladders, shovel, sweep, operate wheelbarrows and communicate with other employees via radios.
• If trained, fill in on various jobs in other departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform an Area Inspection of the area of the plant they are covering and turn in the signed and completed area inspection upon completion of their shift.
• Inspect belt lines, rollers, water and oil flows and levels, bearings, motors, drive belts and chains, hoppers and chutes, ducts, mechanical linkages, fire extinguishers and safety equipment.
• Sweep, shovel and do general cleanup of areas as needed.
• Paint, pull weeds, sweep.
• Occasionally manually carry parts inventory or other materials.
