Laborer - Data Center
About The Position
The Data Center Laborer supports the Construction team by preparing and cleaning construction sites, handling building materials, operating equipment and machines, and assisting craft workers. The role works with personnel within the department and helps crews maintain the tools and supplies needed to complete their work. This position operates in a field environment and involves physically active work, including extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, standing, and twisting. Work may take place in inclement weather, including extreme heat or cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind. The employee must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and meet the stated vision, distance-judgment, hand-eye coordination, and color-identification demands.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid state driver’s license.
- Ability to bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to meet the role’s vision, distance and space judgment, precise hand-eye coordination, and color-identification demands.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience.
- Current and valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare construction sites for work by removing debris and possible hazards.
- Assist tradesmen so they can complete skilled tasks more effectively.
- Identify utilities and observe digging crews to help prevent utility hits.
- Clean and maintain equipment.
- Restock trucks with supplies to ensure crews have the tools and supplies needed to complete the job.
