About The Position

Bartlett Cocke General Contractors in the North Austin, TX area is currently seeking Laborers to join our team! This role performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on construction projects, including working on roofs, multi-level structures, scaffolds, and/or ladders. The Laborer is responsible for maintaining a clean jobsite, picking up and securing all tools and equipment daily, and performing material handling and storage. This includes loading and unloading materials from trucks, manually hauling and/or hoisting materials, and pumping water. A key aspect of this role is ensuring that all work is performed in a safe manner, adhering to proper safety and incident reporting procedures, and reporting any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, or Safety Manager. The position also involves performing manual work in preparing surfaces.

Requirements

Must be physically fit.
Must pass pre-hire screenings.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
May be required to travel between, to and from jobsites.
Will be required to wear PPE to include hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, gloves, and work boots.

Responsibilities

Performs material handling and storage.

Ensure that work is performed in a safe manner.
Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
Reports problems to the attention of the Foreman, Superintendent, or Safety Manager.
Performs manual work in preparing surfaces.
