About The Position

The Laborer supports operations by preparing and cleaning work sites, maintaining supplies and materials, carrying out steps in work processes, and maintaining records. The role involves obtaining and moving equipment, tools, supplies, and materials; keeping the work area clean and safe; handling and processing materials; and recording production and supply usage. The Laborer also updates job knowledge through educational opportunities and contributes to organizational goals by taking ownership of requests and seeking ways to add value.

Requirements

Skills in lifting, planning, inventory management, inventory control, general math, equipment maintenance, power tools, welding and fabrication, manufacturing, informing others, and automotive manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Check the work schedule to organize work.
Prepare work sites by obtaining and delivering equipment, tools, supplies, and materials.
Maintain clean and safe work sites by removing scrap, sweeping and mopping, erecting barriers, disposing of hazardous materials, following safety procedures, and wearing personal protective equipment.
Maintain supplies and materials by reading work orders, locating and verifying inventory, loading items onto trucks or pull-carts, moving items to the site, and unloading them.
Return items to storage inventory by loading, moving, and unloading them.
Support work processes by inspecting, preparing, sorting, weighing, measuring, cutting, adding, trimming, and loading materials.
Maintain work records by entering production statistics and recording materials and supplies used.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Accept ownership of new and different requests and explore opportunities to add value to work accomplishments.
