About The Position

This position performs tasks involving physical labor at all types of job sites. Provides support to the crew by cleaning, preparing, digging, toting, and general assistance.

Requirements

Will possess or learn knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the construction for the Jobsite
Must be able to determine the appropriate device or equipment needed for each specific task
Must be able to decide on each particular job as required to accomplish the work at hand
Must be able to listen and follow instructions
Performing general physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials
Controlling machines and processes by using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate tools or processes
Handling and moving objects by using hands and arms in the handling, installing, positioning and moving materials and manipulating things
Getting information by observing, receiving and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources
Must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat
Must be trained in all required safety procedures with all associated certifications.

Responsibilities

Gathering tools
Shoveling, racking, mixing and spreading mud/cement
Clean and prepare Jobsite to eliminate possible hazards
Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level dirt to grade specifications using picks, shovels, and rakes
Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures
Load, unload and identify building materials and tools and distribute them to the appropriate locations
May perform flagging for traffic control
General crew support
