About The Position

Spiniello is seeking hardworking, safety-minded Laborers to join our specialty field crews performing critical pipeline rehabilitation and underground utility work. In this role, you will support day-to-day construction activities, including excavation, material handling, site preparation, and equipment set-up, while working alongside experienced crews on active jobsites. This position offers a competitive starting rate of $36/hour, depending on experience. It is a hands-on opportunity for someone who takes pride in physical work, follows direction well, and wants to build a career in specialty underground construction. Spiniello Companies is a nationally recognized infrastructure contractor with more than a century of experience delivering complex underground utility, water, wastewater, and heavy civil construction projects throughout the United States. Founded in 1922, Spiniello self-performs critical infrastructure work, including open-cut construction and specialty pipe rehabilitation. Our field teams are at the center of that work, bringing skill, teamwork, and accountability to every jobsite. This role is designed for a dependable, physically capable worker who is comfortable performing manual labor outdoors in all weather conditions and in confined spaces. The ideal candidate follows safety procedures closely, works well as part of a crew, and is willing to travel to support projects across the region.

Requirements

CDL Class B or Class A with Tanker endorsement, minimum.
OSHA 10 certification, minimum.
Must be willing to work in confined spaces.
Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs. or more).
Ability to kneel, squat, climb, and work in confined spaces; comfortable in dusty, noisy, and potentially hazardous environments.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including exposure to loud noise and dust.
Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
Must be willing to travel for extended periods (one month or longer, if required).

Nice To Haves

Haz Mat endorsement.
Prior CIPP (cured-in-place pipe) experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of construction safety practices.

Responsibilities

Assist with excavation and digging of trenches; load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment.
Prepare construction sites, including clearing debris, and perform demolition tasks as required.
Clean and maintain the worksite, ensuring it is free from hazards; set up and remove scaffolding, ladders, and barricades.
Assist with the installation of materials and help measure, cut, and shape materials as directed.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, wear appropriate safety gear at all times, and report hazards or concerns to supervisors.
Operate basic construction machinery and hand tools (e.g., drills, saws, hammers); help transport and set up heavy equipment under supervisor guidance.
Assist with moving materials between job site locations and perform other labor tasks as needed to support project timelines.
