The role is responsible for assisting skilled construction workers and performing a variety of duties. It is a non-exempt role that reports to the Foreman, with assigned duties checked frequently.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent.
• Ability to follow instructions without being distracted.
• Must pass a post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Must adhere to job site safety requirements as required by the client (e.g., clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots).
• Must use safety equipment as required by the client (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard).

Responsibilities

• Assisting skilled construction workers in performing their assigned duties.
• Digging, spreading, and leveling dirt and gravel.
• Lifting, carrying, and holding building materials, tools, and supplies.
• Cleaning tools, equipment, materials, and work areas.
• Mixing, spreading, or pouring concrete, asphalt, gravel, or other materials.
• Joining, wrapping, and sealing sections of pipe.
• Performing a variety of non-machine tasks such as removing forms from set concrete, filling expansion joints with asphalt, and placing culvert sections in trenches.
• Transferring from task to task as the project progresses to completion.
• Performing additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
