We are seeking a dependable Laborer to join our scrap metal yard team on the night shift. This is a hands-on position working outdoors in an industrial environment.
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work around heavy equipment and machinery
- Reliable attendance and ability to work the night shift
Nice To Haves
- Scrap yard, construction, warehouse, or industrial experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Sort and separate ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal
- Assist with general yard cleanup and housekeeping
- Remove debris and maintain safe work areas
- Assist equipment operators and other yard personnel as needed
- Perform basic material handling and manual labor
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Inspect materials and sort items or materials into piles or places in bins or barrels according to type, size, condition, coloring, marking, or other characteristics
- Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances
