About The Position
This role involves various tasks on construction sites, including setup, preparation, and cleanup. Responsibilities include installing underground or aerial telecommunications or power cabling, using hand tools and equipment to locate underground utilities, and performing restoral work. The job also requires assisting in pushing and pulling conduit and cable, driving company vehicles, maintaining safety awareness, performing light cleaning and maintenance, and completing necessary paperwork. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Must have valid driver’s license or be willing to obtain
- Ability to communicate and listen effectively with customers, employees, etc.
- Basic knowledge of and ability to operate hand tools, equipment and vehicles in a safe manner
Nice To Haves
- Class A Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain
- Experience in telecommunications or utilities infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Setup, preparation, and cleanup of construction sites
- Install underground or aerial telecommunications or power cabling
- Use hand tools such as shovels, and/or equipment to locate underground utilities and infrastructure and restoral work
- Assist in pushing and pulling conduit and cable
- Drive company vehicles to and from job site which may include towing of trailers
- Maintain visual and audible contact with other crewmen and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement
- Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies
- Light cleaning and maintenance of company vehicles, tools and machinery
- Safety training as required by position
- Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed
- Other duties as assigned
