Job Summary The general laborer performs a variety of tasks during their probationary period including but not limited to department housekeeping, observing and working in various workstations, and training on assigned machinery. During the probationary period, the laborer will bid into the specific job openings within the facility.

• This is a 24/7 Union Environment, Days/Hours/Shift worked is determined by seniority.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, sweeping, sanitizing, cleaning bins, unloading package material, supplying fill stations with packing materials, labels, or boxes, making trash bales, etc.
• Filling paper bags with salt, guiding them through a sewing head to seal them, and palletizing the finished products
• Driving a forklift to move product in the facility
• Assisting workers of higher classification in performing their tasks.
• Adhering to all food safety, quality, safety and environmental regulations and programs.
• Ensuring a safe work environment for all employees and visitors and driving continuous improvement for all FSQR and EHS programs.
