Requirements

Strong understanding of various machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repairs, and maintenance.
Solid grasp of the chemical composition and properties of substances relevant to custodial and landscaping tasks, including knowledge of chemical interactions, safety precautions, and proper disposal methods.
Skill to perform routine maintenance on equipment and understanding when maintenance is required.

Must pass a thorough criminal background check due to the sensitivity of the information handled by this position.

Responsibilities

Performing essential custodial and landscaping duties at the Pharr International Bridge Building.
Maintaining clean and safe environments by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming floors.
Servicing and restocking restrooms to ensure they meet high standards of cleanliness.
Gathering and disposing of trash.
Cleaning and polishing furniture and fixtures.
Performing minor adjustments and repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
