About The Position

This position is responsible for transporting parts and components to various work areas, operating a grinder and/or sander to remove slag from parts and components, general housekeeping, etc.

Requirements

• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Blueprint reading skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Proficient in shop mathematics and layout techniques.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of hand tools such as sanders.
• Attention to detail.
• Works well with others.
• Prolonged periods standing.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
• Travel as necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates a forklift to transport parts and components to various work areas.
• Operates a grinder and/or sander to remove slag from steel parts and components.
• General housekeeping duties which includes sweeping shop floors, emptying garbage and chips, etc.
• Ensuring manufacturing equipment and areas are clean, organized and free of debris.
• Other duties as assigned.
