About The Position
The Laborer performs a variety of physical tasks supporting heavy civil construction operations, including roadway, bridge, drainage, excavation, utility, and concrete work. The Laborer assists skilled trades personnel and equipment operators while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Reliable transportation and attendance.
Nice To Haves
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of construction safety practices preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor associated with heavy civil construction projects.
- Assist with excavation, grading, utility installation, concrete placement, and roadway construction.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Clean and prepare job sites before, during, and after construction activities.
- Assist carpenters, operators, and concrete crews with daily operations.
- Install erosion control measures and traffic control devices as directed.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely.
- Follow project plans, specifications, and supervisor instructions.
- Maintain a safe work environment and comply with company safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
