About The Position

The Laborer performs unskilled and lightly skilled work in the Material Control or Production department. This role involves sorting defective parts, packing parts, performing minor rework, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The Laborer will work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Follows simple instructions regarding visual defects to examine parts in quarantine (defective parts).
• Segregates acceptable and unacceptable parts using visual comparisons.
• May use simple go/no-go gauges.
• Assembles and fits slotted pieces together to form partitions for cartons.
• Marks tare-weight and type of vox on the side of the box, using a marking pencil.
• Bands (1 or 2) straps around vox before parts go into the box.
• Floor cleaning, degreasing, mopping, trash pick-up, and the like on the shop floor.
• Performs other customer-driven or product-driven duties as assigned by the supervisor.
