About The Position
Our recycling and reclamation plant is growing, and we’re looking for dedicated General Laborers to join our team! As a General Laborer, you'll be a key part of our environmental mission, working with a team to sort, process, and prepare recyclable materials. You’ll help keep materials moving through the plant and ensure our facility stays clean, safe, and productive.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Comfortable with physical tasks: lifting up to 70 lbs, standing for long hours
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Great communication and teamwork skills
- Time management and ability to stay on task
Responsibilities
- Sort and separate recyclables from conveyor belts
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts (training available!)
- Operate equipment like power washers
- Maintain cleanliness of the yard and recycling receptacles
- Move materials between production, storage, and shipping areas
- Track inventory and label incoming/outgoing shipments
- Stack bales, crates, and pallets in designated zones
- Complete special projects and assist with documentation
- Follow all health & safety guidelines
- Work closely with a team to ensure smooth operation
