About The Position

The General Laborer is responsible for performing manual labor tasks to support various projects and operations. The General Laborer works under the direct supervision of the YES Program Director and will assist with tasks that require physical strength, agility, and the ability to work in various conditions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.
  • Act 31/Act 126 Clearance Mandated Reporter Training.
  • Act 34 Clearance Pennsylvania State Police Background Check (Criminal History).
  • Act 114 Clearance FBI Fingerprint.
  • Act 33 Clearance Pennsylvania Child Abuse History.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment

Responsibilities

  • Perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, carrying, and moving heavy materials and equipment.
  • Assist in general construction projects by digging trenches, mixing and pouring concrete, and operating basic construction tools.
  • Assist in tearing down structures, removing debris, and ensuring the safe disposal of materials.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks/trailers. Ensure that materials, tools, and equipment are properly handled and stored.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment by cleaning up debris and disposing of waste materials.
  • Operate machinery and equipment as required.
  • Assist with assembling and disassembling equipment and structures as needed.
  • Sort and organize materials and supplies. Ensure materials are handled safely.
  • Always adhere to all Federal and State safety regulations. Wear the appropriate protective gear, and report safety hazards or incidents to the YES Program Director.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks in ACRP-owned buildings.
  • Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites using company vehicles.
  • Work and collaborate with team members and follow instructions to complete assigned tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors regularly to complete assigned tasks.
