About The Position

ServiceSource is seeking to hire a temporary Laborer for the Department of Commerce building in Washington D.C. This position is temporary, with 39 hours per week, during normal business hours. Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Equivalency diploma (GED) required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to define problems and provide solutions.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and meet deadlines on a daily basis.
  • Excellent customer service skills; requires excellent verbal and written skills and ability to accept and follow directions.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks, and other conveyances.
  • Move supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrow or hand truck.
  • Stack materials for storage or binning, collect reuse and salvageable materials.
  • Move and arrange heavy pieces of office and household furniture, equipment, and appliances per customer request.
  • Ensure proper handling of all equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain all safety requirements while performing tasks.
  • Accurately track moves, deliveries, and other requests for reporting purposes.
  • Report damages and emergency situations promptly.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
