About The Position

This role involves various tasks on a construction site, including grouting columns, general site clean-up and organization, staging materials for carpenter crews, tracking and storing small tools, inspecting tools for safety, dewatering, dust control, assisting with trash container cycling, setting up and relocating temporary heating, cooling, humidification, and dehumidification equipment, assisting with material and equipment staging for efficiency, performing light demolition, and enforcing safety policies. The position also requires familiarity with emergency procedures, assisting with traffic direction during emergencies, and reporting any form of harassment.

Requirements

Position requires verification of employment to be eligible to work in the U.S.
Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and subsequent random and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
Complete union required training programs (if applicable).
Be in good standing with union (if applicable).
Problem-solving abilities.
Work efficiently and effectively.
Be self-motivated.
Ability to make sound decisions.
Must be able to remain calm during stressful situations and work through any challenges or issues which may arise.
Must be able to know when to ask for help when a job task exceeds their skills or abilities.

Responsibilities

Grout columns.
General clean-up of site and building organization.
Stage materials out ahead of carpenter crews.
Track small tools used and store appropriately at the end of the workday.
Inspect tools for safe working condition.
Tag and turn in any damaged equipment.
Dewatering.
Dust control.
Assist with cycling of trash containers.
Set up and relocate temporary heating, cooling, humidification and dehumidification equipment.
Assist with material and equipment staging for maximum efficiency.
Engage in light demolition work.
Assist in enforcing and be an example of Ryan safety policies and procedures.
Familiarize one’s self with the emergency procedures for the project they are on.
Assist with directing traffic and clearing the path in the event of an emergency.
Abstain from, avoid, and report any form of harassment to their supervisor.
Complete Hazard Analysis for their portion of work.
