About The Position
Performs various tasks at transfer station including containing loose refuse to prevent scattering and directing traffic at the transfer station. This role involves manual labor such as picking up windblown paper, maintaining landscape areas, and performing general site maintenance like cleaning, painting, and sweeping. The job is on-site and offers a pay range of $29.57 per hour.
Requirements
- Licenses as required by Local, State, Federal, Environmental and/or Health/Safety Regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities
- Manually picks up windblown paper from the periphery of the transfer station.
- Carries a large plastic trash bag and walks along the fenced border of the transfer station, as well as on exterior land adjacent to the transfer station.
- Pulls paper from the fence and lifts loose paper from the ground, depositing refuse in bag until full.
- During the summer months, grass is to be mown, and landscape areas maintained.
- Performs general site maintenance to include cleaning, painting, sweeping, and general facility repairs.
- Directs traffic at the transfer station.
