About The Position

Bartlett Cocke General Contractors in the College Station, TX area is currently seeking Laborers to join our team! This role performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on construction projects. The job requires working on roofs, multi-level structures, scaffolds and/or ladders. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean jobsite, picking up and securing all tools and equipment daily to eliminate potential hazards, performing material handling and storage, and loading/unloading materials from trucks. The position also involves ensuring work is performed safely, following proper safety and incident reporting procedures, and reporting problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, or Safety Manager. Additionally, the role includes performing manual work in preparing surfaces.

Requirements

Must be physically fit.
Must pass pre-hire screenings.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
May be required to travel between, to and from jobsites.
Will be required to wear PPE to include hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, gloves, and work boots.

Responsibilities

Performs material handling and storage.
Loads and unloads material from trucks, manually hauls and/or hoists materials.
Ensure that work is performed in a safe manner.
Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
Reports problems to the attention of the Foreman, Superintendent, or Safety Manager.
Performs manual work in preparing surfaces.
