About The Position

Veregy is an award-winning NAESCO-Accredited decarbonization company focusing on accelerating and simplifying Energy Transition. We provide turnkey engineering and construction services designed to reduce our clients' energy and operating costs through the implementation of energy efficiency and infrastructure upgrades, smart building technology, fleet EV infrastructure, clean energy generation, and sustainability. The Solar Racking Laborer is responsible for assembling and installing the structural mounting systems (racking) that support solar panels. This is a physically demanding outdoor role perfect for someone who enjoys manual labor and wants to break into the renewable energy industry.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training preferred.
  • Previous experience in construction, roofing, or landscaping.
  • Ability to work at heights or on sloped roofs (if applicable).
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work on your feet all day in various weather conditions (heat, cold, wind).
  • Experience with basic tools like impact wrenches, levels, tape measures, and socket sets.
  • Reliability: You show up on time, every time, and have dependable transportation to job sites.
  • A "get it done" attitude and the ability to follow instructions from lead installers.
  • A commitment to wearing PPE and following OSHA guidelines.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 certification is a major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install the structural mounting systems (racking) that support solar panels.
  • Build and bolt together steel and aluminum racking components according to engineering blueprints.
  • Unload delivery trucks and organize heavy materials (rails, clamps, posts) across the job site.
  • Use basic hand and power tools to measure, level, and secure foundation posts or ballast blocks.
  • Assist installers by lifting and positioning solar modules onto the completed racking system.
  • Keep the job site clean and organized to prevent accidents and ensure all tools are properly stored.
  • Follow company safety policies.
