About The Position
This role involves a variety of physical tasks on a construction site, requiring communication, safe operation of vehicles and tools, and the ability to work in various environmental conditions. The laborer will be responsible for site maintenance, material handling, and assisting with construction tasks using both hand and power tools.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate with others.
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to safely traverse uneven terrain with or without tools and building materials.
- Proficiency in the safe, dexterous use of hand tools.
- Understanding of the safe use of different types of power and manual construction tools.
- Ability to dig, spread, and level dirt and gravel to fine grade specifications using hand tools.
- Ability to break up and remove concrete with power equipment (jackhammer) and hand tools.
- Ability to position and operate portable and submersible water pumps.
- Ability to clean and sort tools, equipment, and materials.
- Ability to stock drinking water containers.
- Ability to climb vertical ladders in up to 25-30 foot sections, above/below ground elevation.
- Ability to clean and maintain the worksite and related areas.
- Adherence to all safety procedures.
- Willingness to perform hole watch and/or firewatch duties as assigned.

- Adhere to all safety procedures.
- May be assigned hole watch and/or firewatch duties.
