About The Position

We’re seeking a reliable and safety-focused Laborer / Serviceman to support maintenance and production activities across our plant. This entry-level role is critical to keeping operations running efficiently through hands-on work, cleanup, and maintenance tasks.

Requirements

A high school diploma or GED is required.
Four years of general plant experience or six years of cement plant experience if joining from outside the company.
Proficiency in control systems and computer applications.
Strong communication skills.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to read diagrams.
Mathematical ability related to production measurements.
Strong decision-making and safety awareness.
Must comply with all safety standards and always wear appropriate PPE.
Heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, 50lbs frequently, 20lbs. constantly), climbing, standing, shoveling, walking, pushing, pulling, and operating tools and mobile equipment to a significant degree in physically intense settings.
Must be physically able to perform all essential job functions, including the ability to communicate verbally using a phone and radio, to hear verbal commands and audible alarms in order to safely operate around large mobile equipment and automatic conveyor belt systems.
Must be able to pass a physical exam to include back x-ray, vision test, hearing test, functional capability evaluation, respiratory fit test and drug / alcohol screen.

Responsibilities

Follow all safety rules, wear PPE, and report equipment or safety concerns.
Perform trenching, digging, backfilling, shoveling, sweeping, and cleanup work.
Assist with maintenance work, concrete form building, painting, and general housekeeping.
Lubricate and oil equipment; support maintenance teams and respond to callouts.
Attend meetings and training sessions. Support other classifications and plant outage work.
Complete any tasks assigned by management to support plant operations.
