About The Position
The Hydaker-Wheatlake Company is looking to hire a Gas Laborer to join the team in Indiana! This role involves a variety of manual labor duties related to gas operations construction and service.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current driver's license with good driving record
Nice To Haves
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Current DOT physical or ability to obtain one
- 1-2 years' experience in construction
- Completion of OSHA 10 and/or 40 Hour Training
Responsibilities
- Familiarization with the complete scope and proposed method of construction for all assigned projects.
- Removal and installation of customer meters.
- Rebuilding outside customer piping.
- Performing re-lights of customer appliances.
- Ensuring proper equipment, tooling, and materials are on the job site and removing unnecessary rentals or equipment.
- Following the Productivity Work Plan to assure high crew productivity.
- Completion of various manual labor duties including loading/unloading material and equipment, digging trenches and bell holes, laying and fusing pipe, utilizing manual and powered tools, and operating vehicles for hauling tools and equipment.
- Following The Hydaker-Wheatlake Company's high-safety and quality standards.
