About The Position

The City of Bowie is seeking a Senior Laborer for Parks & Grounds. The position performs heavy manual labor and requires the ability to understand and follow specific written and oral instructions. The employee uses hand tools and landscaping equipment, including chainsaws, mowers, and weed eaters, and applies knowledge and skills in landscape maintenance. The role also requires maintaining good working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, and the general public. Applicants must submit a completed City of Bowie employment application and register with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse to be considered. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to perform heavy manual labor and understand and follow specific instructions.
Experience operating various landscaping equipment.
Valid driver’s license.
Must register with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
Submit a completed City of Bowie employment application.
