Laborer, Roads and Grounds On-call (seasonal)
About The Position
The Laborer, Roads and Grounds, maintains grounds of industrial, commercial or public property such as buildings, camp and picnic grounds, parks, playgrounds, greenhouses, and athletic fields, and repairs structures and equipment, performing one or more of the following tasks: removes snow from walks, driveways, roads, or parking lots, using shovel and snow blower. Spreads salt on walkways and other areas. May repair fences, gates, benches, tables, guardrails, and outbuildings; and may assist in repair of roads, walks, buildings, and mechanical equipment. These duties and others as assigned must be performed within the performance and the scope of safety as established by regulation standards or by company policy.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Security Clearance (or Ability to obtain upon hire)
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
- At least-one year of experience in snow removal (manual / shovel), maintaining walkways (ice / slush).
- Must be able to work independently
- Experience in operating small trucks and snow removal equipment
- Valid Driver's License
