This role involves safely changing and mounting tires according to the Savage Tire Manual, performing general cleanup duties, and developing a system for determining equipment tire needs to reduce progressive maintenance. The position requires performing maintenance duties in various locations including the shop, yard, field, and roadside on service calls. A key responsibility is to maintain the fleet according to Savage and D.O.T. regulations by performing maintenance at the most economical and cost-effective times, considering operating life, safety, and replacement needs. The role also includes maintaining a clean and safe work environment and potentially other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Operation Manager. The position requires the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and a strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). Professional interaction and collaboration with other Team Members are expected, and dependability in attendance is required. The role also involves assisting in tracking logs, maintaining asset management files and reporting systems, and working with an inventory system to generate reports at set intervals.
