About The Position

This role involves assisting other employees with daily tasks, manipulating materials using various types of cranes and forklifts, maintaining a clean work area, cleaning steel pieces with production equipment, and safely preparing loads for trucks. Responsibilities also include applying masking on steel parts and performing other related tasks.

Requirements

• Ability to operate an angle grinder or other hand tools
• Demonstrate cooperation, adaptation, autonomy, manual dexterity and initiative
• Organizational skills
• Knowledge of best practices for loading materials in compliance with occupational health and safety principles

Nice To Haves

• Know how to operate an overhead crane and/or know how to perform rigging operations
• One (1) year's plant experience in the steel industry

Responsibilities

• Assist the other employees in their daily tasks
• Manipulate material with overhead cranes, jib cranes or forklifts
• Keep the working area clean
• Clean steel pieces using production equipment
• Safely load, solidify, balance and tie the loads in the truck
• Apply masking on steel parts
• All related tasks
