About The Position

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Haltom City, Texas, TRP Construction Group is a leading provider of safety-critical and highly regulated roadway marking and traffic control solutions primarily to state and local government end-customers, whom it serves either directly or through general contractors. TRP ’s core offering focuses on recurring maintenance projects to maintain the safety of America ’s roadways. The Company has operations in Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, and Arkansas. TRP Construction Group, LLC is currently seeking a full-time Pavement Markings Laborer to perform operations in the Asheville, NC area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance to ensure the safety of the traveling public.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
Must be able to work some nights and weekends
Must be able to work overtime
Must be able to travel with company when necessary

Nice To Haves

A CDL license is preferred
Be able to operate hand machines
Be able to operate a forklift
Be able to operate a hand grinder
Be able to operate a 3M hand-tape machine
Be able to operate a 3M adhesive applicator
Be able to operate a hand-roller tamper cart
Be able to Install Preformed Thermo/ Hot Tape

Responsibilities

Ensure all work is done and completed in compliance with DOT and quality guidelines
Ensure vehicles are in working order (spray systems and/or other truck mounted equipment) and properly loaded each and every day
Ensure vehicles are kept clean and neat inside and out
Fill out pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms properly
Maximize production on job
Be trained and able to operate and maintain at least 6 different pieces of equipment
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Adapt to the latest technology
Use smart phone and applications
Adjust to changing work schedule
Follow all Safety Policies and Procedures
