About The Position

We are looking for highly motivated, outgoing individuals to join our Kurtz family, where you are more than just a number, you are truly a member of the family. With eight businesses making up our family, ranging from landscape supply, construction services, stormwater management to wastewater treatment. Your Waterproofer/E&S Services is looking for a General Laborer. Most work will be on for erosion control projects. All install positions require outdoor physical labor, positive attitude and willingness to follow our safety policies.

Requirements

  • Must have Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to perform manual labor in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to follow directions

Nice To Haves

  • Driving with a trailer is a Plus
  • Skid Steer experience preferred.
  • Grading skills
  • Ability to carry heavy building materials and use a shovel
  • Strong Work Ethic
  • Willing to work long hours when needed
  • Punctual on a daily basis (7AM Start Time)
  • Willing to work Saturdays as needed
  • Ability to operate skid steer or mini excavator is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Work in a safe, efficient manner and wear proper protective equipment at all times as required.
  • Abide by all company policies, safety regulations, and PPE requirements.
  • Install a variety of erosion control products, including but not limited to compost filter sock, silt fence, filter mats, conventional seeding, and hydroseeding.
  • Complete daily project tasks in a safe and efficient manner as directed by the Install Crew Lead.
  • Load and unload truck, trailer, and other materials required for the job.
  • Work with heavy duty hand tools such as sludge hammers, shovels, picks, etc.
  • Occasionally operate skid steer, small excavators, and other small material or earth moving equipment.
  • Advise the Install Crew Lead of any maintenance or repair requirements.
  • Participate in safety briefings, job briefings, and any other meetings required by Manager.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment, including at the job site, yard, shop, and vehicle.
  • Ensure client sites are clean and presentable at the completion of the job.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.
