It is the responsibility of the Laborer Foreman to provide administrative support for management in the planning and oversight of the daily operations and activities of the Laborers which they have been assigned. Oversee and inspect the completion of all work performed by Laborers. Create a courteous, professional, and engaging team environment that performs general assistance to all areas of the property. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and company policies, practices, and procedures to ensure overall facility integrity.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience
  • Experience as a professional Journeyman Laborer working in a similar resort setting
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Collect and carry required parts, materials and/or equipment to designated work areas
  • Assist with office, furniture and casino equipment moves; assist with demolition and clean up on construction projects and maintain logbooks
  • Respond to all facility emergencies and coordinate containment and repairs; during shift report operational conditions on a daily log; ensure completion of assigned and closed-out work orders
  • Walk daily route, report and supervise necessary repairs
  • Pick up parts and supplies from vendors, keep property maintenance department warehouse clean and orderly
  • Responsible for completion of all jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management
  • Operate motorized and power equipment; skyjack, forklift, scissor lift, jack hammer and other heavy machinery, fuel and service engineering vehicles
  • Maintain inventory of keys and tools in the Engineering Tool Room
  • Work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Keep informed and updated on current technical methods and advise Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the property
  • Maintain constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention; able to wear/use personal protective equipment (p.p.e.)
