This role is for the 1st shift, with hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and a workweek of Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday.

Requirements

Able to read, write, and/or communicate the English Language in an understandable manner with various levels of personnel.
Must have good customer service practices.
Able to read, understand, and work from work orders, material lists, specs, inspection standards, inventory documentation, part numbering system, and detailed instructions.
Able to make minor decisions as to the quality and operation of equipment, machinery, and product.
Able to operate forklifts safely.
Able to identify, make independent decisions, and/or take action when circumstances warrant.
Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Able to take responsibility for one's actions, including conduct, attitudes, quality and quantity of work, communication, accuracy, and timeliness.
Respectful of others, courteous attitude, and cooperative with co-workers.

Must have a high school diploma/G.E.D or equivalent experience.
Must have or acquire Forklift Certification (Company will assist).
Must have or acquire computer skills for the company's computer program.
Must be 18 years of age or over.
Must comply with the company's Drug, Alcohol Abuse and Firearms Policy.
Able to walk and stand, on average 80% to 99% of the time on a concrete floor.
Stand, walk and lift shipments on average 30 to 50 times per shift, lifting up to 70 pounds by hand.
Repetitive body movements in the movement of product(s).
Proper body mechanics and lifting techniques required.
Able to cut wire with hand cutters using approximately 20 pounds of downward pressure with momentum.
Visual inspection and monitoring of machines, products, and the like.
Eye-hand-foot coordination essential.
Requires 100% concentration and alertness.

Responsibilities

Assist with the efforts of the Maintenance department through stocking, preventative maintenance, cleaning, inspections, and other tasks and duties as assigned.
Perform manual duties including stocking, retrieving, and shipping of products, materials, and supplies.
Prepare product or machinery for processing.
Operate company vehicles such as vans, forklifts, and/or autos for pick-up, delivery duties, and errands.
Load, unload, and transport materials, products, equipment, and/or tools within the company.
Utilize manual and/or mechanical materials handling equipment as needed.
Report any malfunctions or abnormalities to supervisor(s) or technician(s).
Execute and perform housekeeping and facility tasks including trash, scrap, and recycling.
Conduct and record preventative maintenance.
Clean work areas and machinery.
May be required to work in other departments as needed.
May assist with inventory control.
Input timely and accurate data into the company's computer databases, if applicable.
Communicate regularly with supervisor(s), technician(s), and co-workers regarding production, procedures, and issues.
Attend and constructively participate in team meetings.
May suggest, collaborate, and implement/improve on effective work methods, machinery, documentation, materials, safety, and team projects.
Assist in monitoring production quality.
May assist in the entry-level training and acclimatization of new employees.
Follow company and safety policies and procedures.
Perform all work on or above a satisfactory level and in a safety-conscious manner.
