About The Position
Performs general labor and maintenance work to enhance public works operations. The starting pay is $19.4342/hr. This role involves a variety of tasks to ensure the proper condition of streets, signs, property, facilities, and stormwater drainage ways, as well as equipment maintenance. Responsibilities also include snow and water removal.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED OR 3 months of experience as Laborer or similar position (equipment operations preferred).
- Valid driver's license.
- Valid CDL, Class B or higher, required within 11 months of employment.
- Equivalent amount of education and/or experience is acceptable.
Nice To Haves
- Equipment operations preferred
Responsibilities
- Cleans and cuts drainage ditches by mowing, trimming grass, tree/limb/debris removal, drainage work, removing trash, weeding, etc.
- Performs routine and preventative maintenance on streets, street signs, property, facilities, stormwater drainage ways, and/or equipment to ensure proper condition.
- Drives and operates various vehicles and equipment.
- Performs snow and water removal.
