About The Position

Holtec International seeks qualified applicants for the position of Laborer to assist in the production of Holtec products. This role involves handling and processing materials using manual labor, cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment. Responsibilities include but not limited to: gathering & distribution material, general labor tasks, crane support, debur/grinding, tapping & stamping, cleaning, and supporting machine setups and operations. Additionally, the Manufacturing Support Personnel prepares parts for fabrication as needed.   Specific Areas of Responsibility: • Receive verbal or written instructions from supervisors, including work orders and daily assignment documentation.• Execute key manufacturing support activities, including moving materials in and out of machines or workstations using cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.• Distribute materials and supplies throughout the production area as required.• Prepare parts for welding and fabrication activities.• Perform simple machine setups and basic machine operations.• Utilize measurement tools to verify part dimensions, tolerances, and required finishes.• Clean parts and assemblies using hand and power tools such as grinders and wire brushes.• Perform general labor duties including grinding, tapping, cleaning, painting, and lubricating machines and equipment.• Load and unload trucks and assist with material receiving and shipping activities.• Accurately complete documentation to record daily time and production activities.• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.• Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed shoes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a general labor or manufacturing support role.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and moving equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality awareness.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical processes.
  • Dependability and strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a metal manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts or overhead cranes.
  • Familiarity with basic machine operation and manufacturing processes.
