About The Position

The Laborer Lead oversees the Laborers and will perform manual labor tasks using common hand tools and simple power equipment. This role provides Cleaning detail support at the Fort Bliss Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG) in support of mobilizing and deploying units/individuals. The position involves loading and unloading trucks, moving supplies, stacking materials, collecting refuse, moving furniture and equipment, spreading sand and salt, picking up leaves and trash, and providing baggage support. The role also requires obtaining certifications for specific equipment, supporting QC/Safety programs, complying with OSHA standards, and working flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Understanding and complying with Performance Work Statement requirements is essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow oral or written instructions in English.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CAC access.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to maintain post driving privileges.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working with/for the US Military, a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees Laborers, monitors employee performance, training, development, and recognition.
  • Creates work schedules and keeps team members informed of mission report times.
  • Ensures all tasks are performed in a timely and accurate manner according to set policy and standard.
  • Ensures all employees are compliant with Company policies and procedures.
  • Provides Cleaning detail support at the Fort Bliss Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG).
  • Loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances, moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrow or hand truck.
  • Stacks materials for storage or binning.
  • Collects refuse and salvageable materials.
  • Moves and arranges office and household furniture, equipment, and machinery.
  • Spreads sand and salt on icy walkways.
  • Picks up leaves and trash.
  • Provide baggage support when needed.
  • Must be able to obtain certification for telescoping, skid steer forklift and bobcat.
  • Will support and enforce the QC/Safety’s Programs guidance.
  • Will comply with all OSHA regulatory safety standards.
  • Will require having flexed hours to accommodate for mission requirements to include weekends and Holidays.
  • Understand and comply with all Performance Work Statement requirements.
