The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) seeks applicants for Laborer II, Southwest Corridor Park, Boston Region. This position involves performing various manual labor tasks to assist skilled tradesmen and craftsmen. Duties include working with pipelines, digging trenches, setting and repairing curbing, patching pavement, installing and repairing signs, planting and maintaining grounds, loading and unloading supplies, and operating hand-held power tools and motor vehicles. Salaries are based upon full-time/40 hours worked per week. Work schedules and days off are at the discretion of the Supervisor. This position may require working weekends and/or holidays. The DCR's mission is to protect, promote, and enhance the state's natural, cultural, and recreational resources. The Division of Operations is the largest team within DCR, responsible for park operations, universal access, rangers, fleet, and interpretive programming, ensuring parks are open, accessible, and welcoming.
