About The Position
The City of Grove is hiring a full-time Laborer/Heavy Equipment Operator for its Street Department. The position supports daily department operations through manual labor, heavy equipment operation, truck driving, and other assigned duties. This is a Grade 7, non-exempt, safety-sensitive position. Applicants selected for the role must pass a pre-employment drug screening and are subject to random drug screening. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class D driver's license.
- Obtain a Class A CDL within one year of the employment date.
- Pass mandatory pre-employment drug screening.
- Submit to random drug screening as a safety-sensitive employee.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for daily Street Department operations.
- Operate heavy equipment.
- Drive trucks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
