About The Position
This position breaks down empty totes, separating the good and bad totes, hand stacks cases on the pallets according to customer specifications, and assists the cold room personnel with breaks and lunches. Build s , fill s , stage s , and cap s totes in the cold room. Report s on any safety, quality, and sanitation regulation issues. Inspect s materials, products, and equipment to detect defects and malfunctions. Maintain s good housekeeping of work are a. Ensure s Case Erector staging area is full at all times . Maintain cleanliness of work area. Operate s controls to dump totes of product into hoppers. Participate s in safety huddles . Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing
- Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements for job actions and procedures
- Ability to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment
- Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties
- Ability to operate work related equipment
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are preferred
- Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment preferred
- Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility
