About The Position

The purpose for this position is to assist in daily operational duties at the facility. This role is responsible for assisting with operations at a retail supply location, following the maintenance schedule of facility and equipment, and assisting with inventory and distribution of products. The General Laborer will also drive and deliver miscellaneous products as requested, stock and move warehouse product and material, and assist both full-time and part-time operations personnel. Maintaining the facility, equipment, and company image is crucial, as is assisting in obtaining goals by improving efficiency and reducing costs. Providing excellent customer service and working with the location manager on all safety and compliance issues are key aspects of this role. Other duties include following GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, and demonstrating the FS Way Standards: Trust, Responsiveness, Excellence, Expertise and Solution Focused. The role may also require driving and running local errands as needed, and performing all other assigned duties.

Requirements

High school diploma or the equivalent thereof.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Must be willing to obtain and maintain a forklift certificate and a CDL.
Occasionally exposed or required to: Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.), Noisy conditions, Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards, requiring utilization of appropriate safety measures, May be required to work at varying heights.
Move up to 100 pounds.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
