About The Position

Perform a variety of manual labor tasks to assist Concrete Carpenter/Finisher. This hourly, non-exempt position will work with direct and indirect supervision. The role involves learning and developing skills in concrete finishing, form setting, and preparation for concrete pours. Responsibilities include operating tools, preparing the site for concrete, and performing concrete structure work as needed. The position requires operating a company vehicle and ensuring a safe working environment. There is potential to operate heavy equipment after training. This role frequently requires working more than 40 hours per week, including non-traditional hours, nights, Saturdays, and occasional Sundays. Additional assignments may be given by a supervisor.

Requirements

Must have own basic set of hand tools.
Valid driver's license for the state in which you reside with acceptable driving record per company minimum standards for drivers.
Must have basic math skills.
Must successfully complete PennDOT Flagger Training Course.
Ability to learn and follow GOH Company policies and procedures.
Ability to learn to read grades.
Ability to anticipate what is needed next and have it ready.

Nice To Haves

Prefer high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Assist in finishing concrete to learn and develop skill.
Assist in cutting and setting forms to learn and develop skill.
Grade stone, compact stone and prepare for pour of concrete.
Develop skill in using a lute.
Complete edging and hand floating with finisher.
Strip and clean forms.
Saw cut concrete joints.
Perform concrete structure work as needed.
Responsible for safely operating company vehicle as needed.
Ensure safe working environment.
Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
May operate or be trained to operate heavy equipment, such as skid steer, roller, paver, screed, etc.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
