About The Position
Operates forklift to load and unload totes from chemical fill stations; loading and unloading of flatbed trucks; assist in batch making and quality checking; operate tote fill stations; general maintenance tasks. Must be able to work outdoors at times and be able to work in hot/cold conditions as weather changes.
Requirements
- 1 yr. Production experience required
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills
- Effective communication skills
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma preferred; or equivalent
- 1 yr. Forklift experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper handling of totes as they load and unload fill stations; will also stage empty totes for later use.
- Responsible for interacting with drivers delivery of raw materials, unloading and loading trucks, collecting bills of lading.
- Assist Production Manager with collection of samples from raw material and finished product and back up Quality Manager with testing as needed.
- Operate fill stations and manual addition of dry ingredients.
- Perform basic maintenance and preventative maintenance on valves, pumps, motors, etc.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of processing equipment.
- Daily Housekeeping of plant including sweeping, mopping, disposal of trash, etc.
- Meet or exceed company safety standards.
- Adhere to all CEMEX rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.
- Practice 5S throughout plant.
