About The Position
The School of Mathematics and Computer Science at KENTUCKY STATE UNIVERSITY is seeking two Laboratory Workers for its Computer Science Program. This role involves assisting faculty and staff with various laboratory operations to support research and instructional activities. The positions are located in Hathaway Hall and Shauntee Hall, with a maximum of 20 hours per week, typically between 10-20 hours.
Requirements
- Computer Science major with an interest in laboratory work
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to assist with experiments, analysis, and laboratory maintenance
Responsibilities
- Assist faculty and staff with laboratory operations
- Prepare materials and equipment for experiments
- Help conduct laboratory experiments
- Collect and organize data
- Assist with basic data analysis
- Maintain accurate records
- Clean and organize laboratory spaces
- Ensure equipment is stored properly
- Follow laboratory safety procedures
- Provide general support for research and instructional laboratory activities
