About The Position

Twining Consulting Inc is an innovative engineering, testing, and inspection company seeking a Laboratory Test Technician for its facility in Fountain Valley, CA.

Requirements

General construction, trade, military, or commercial laboratory experience required.
Proficient in basic computer skills required for preparing test reports (word processing and spreadsheets) and able to compute basic mathematical functions using a calculator.
Demonstrated technical aptitude.
Competent skills and knowledge in the use of hand and power tools.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams and able to hear instructions clearly.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Able to lift 30 to 50 pounds often and occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance.
Able to walk, stand, squat, kneel, bend, and climb up to 40 ft with safety precautions, and perform work at multiple building heights using lifts, swing stages, and scaffolding.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving history.

Nice To Haves

Window installation/fabrication experience preferred.
Welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and perform standard tests on building products in accordance with referenced specifications and procedures.
Work in the lab and field settings in a construction environment.
Work with tools to set up and deconstruct test assemblies as required.
Perform fabrication utilizing construction materials (glass, wood, steel, aluminum, plastics, etc.).
Operate testing equipment to conduct testing of windows, doors, curtain walls, storefronts, skylights, and a variety of building materials and products.
Set up instrumentation.
Prepare and submit electronic daily test and observation reports and hours worked on projects.
Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
Follow all safety and precautionary measures.
Maintain flexibility to work extended or non-traditional hours as needed.
