About The Position

This position is for a Part-Time Laboratory Technologist at Uxbridge Hospital. The successful candidate will work independently in a core lab setting, covering Specimen Collection and Processing, Hematology, Chemistry, and Transfusion Science. The role requires strong technical, communication, leadership, and customer service skills, with an enjoyment of working in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

Member of the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
General Certification in the Medical Laboratory Technology from the CSMLS
Proficient computer skills
Experience with a Laboratory Information System - Meditech experience is ideal
Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic multi-tasking laboratory
Familiarity with Ontario Laboratory Accreditation Requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work well within a team and take leadership role when called upon
Strong customer service focus and job commitment
Demonstrates a positive and professional outlook in a rapidly changing environment

Nice To Haves

Experience in a core laboratory setting including phlebotomy skills and ECG are assets.

Responsibilities
