About The Position

EMSL is seeking a Laboratory Technician in its Materials Science department in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. The role involves hands-on testing of various samples using microscopy. No laboratory experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided to help new employees learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The pay is $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science.
Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
0 to 1 years of experience working in a laboratory setting.
Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize with minimal assistance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Prepare samples using methods such as digestion and solvent extraction.
Analyze samples using ICP, ICPMS, HPLC, and GCMS.
Generate analytical reports.
Clean and maintain laboratory equipment as needed.
Perform quality control practices in accordance with the company Quality Assurance/Quality Control manual.
Perform other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager.
