About The Position

The laboratory technicians will have (or be able to obtain) NY Sate licenses for DMC, drug residue testing, milkfat testing and phosphatase. Along with necessary technical skills, technicians must have a positive customer service attitude, display team orientation to their work and have the ability to clearly communicate lab information to production and management. The quality and safety of our products depend upon the lab technician’s ability to perform their responsibilities in a proper way. A high level of attention to detail that will yield accurate work is required. Required character strengths include honesty and integrity, a high level of self-motivation, good communication skills and team-oriented work approach.

Requirements

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentage.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to communicate across shifts and with others.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings such as training or assisting co-workers.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedure manuals.
