The Laboratory Technician will support chemists and technicians in the day to day operations of an industrial laboratory. The main focus of this position is customer technical support and service. The work will include: Performing routine product testing by following written procedures, using tools to prepare metal samples for testing and processing, processing materials on small scale pilot equipment, mixing small batches of chemical products following written formulas and procedures, taking detailed notes on the results of tests and procedures performed, writing detailed reports, Performing routine maintenance on laboratory equipment. Relevant manufacturing, production, maintenance or technician experience, along with a willingness to learn, is acceptable in place of laboratory experience.

Requirements

Strong verbal and written communication
Proficiency in basic arithmetic
Detail oriented
Focus on workplace safety
Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities
Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
Driver's license and ability to travel locally
Experience working in manufacturing, production, maintenance, or technician roles
Experience working with or around chemicals is preferred
Experience operating analytical or testing equipment is preferred
Experience following detailed written instructions and procedures

Nice To Haves

Relevant manufacturing, production, maintenance or technician experience, along with a willingness to learn, is acceptable in place of laboratory experience.
