Support efficient and productive laboratory operations by ensuring lab spaces are clean, well-stocked, and fully functional to be consistent with inventory standards and safety requirements. Work independently and as part of a team to maintain and improve operational success. Facilitate operational tasks across many teams and departments within the organization. Requirements

  • High school diploma plus 2 (two) years relevant work experience or associate degree in relevant science discipline
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of individuals
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures
  • Occasional weekend work may be required
  • Driver license with the ability to drive locally to FCDI laboratories throughout the work day
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 (fifty) pounds
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment

Responsibilities

  • Provide lab support for scientific personnel and overall operations.
  • Place orders, maintain inventory, and stock supplies.
  • Organize and put away daily shipments consistent with inventory management, housekeeping, and safety standards.
  • Perform maintenance on equipment as specified, including minor repairs and cleaning.
  • Autoclave, neutralize, or otherwise prepare bio-hazardous waste for disposal.
  • Assist with overall laboratory cleanliness, organization, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist and coordinate activities and supplies across multiple laboratories and sites, as required.
  • Other job functions as assigned.
