Temporary Lab Technician- BCC PostBacc Program

University of Louisville•Aurora, CO
•Onsite

About The Position

The BCC PostBacc Program supports laboratory technicians in developing research and professional skills for competitive PhD applications and helps recruit trained candidates into the University of Louisville’s PhD programs. The Nail Laboratory is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to help establish and maintain laboratory operations and participate in research on how environmental heavy metal exposure promotes carcinogenesis. The laboratory studies how cadmium exposure affects DNA damage response signaling, DNA repair pathways, and cellular processes involved in breast epithelial cell malignant transformation, using approaches from molecular and cellular biology, environmental toxicology, cancer biology, and molecular genetics. The technician will support laboratory operations and research through experimental preparation and execution, equipment maintenance, inventory management, safety compliance, data collection, and technical support for laboratory personnel. The role offers opportunities to develop technical expertise, contribute to scientific publications, collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers, and participate in an expanding research program. This is a temporary position expected to run from November 9, 2026, through November 7, 2028.
