This Lab Technologist position is stationed in the Soil, Water, Forage, Analytical Lab (SWFAL). Requirements
- High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- Two years related experience or two years post-secondary education.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Soil Science, Chemistry, Biology, Agronomy or related
- 1 year of related lab experience
Responsibilities
- Sample preparation, organization, analysis and disposal
- Analyzing soil, water, plant and waste samples using ICP, Carbon-Nitrogen analyzer, Flow injection auto-analyzer
- Performing titration, pH and EC analysis with appropriate instruments
- Performing routine instrument maintenance
- Maintaining analysis quality with internal and external QC samples
- Assisting other technicians with their duties and possibility in supervising part time technicians
- Assisting lab manager in lab operations and performing other duties as assigned
